September 30 - Hidden Lake

Hidden Lake - located in Glacier National Park, in the US state of Montana. Hidden Lake is surrounded by numerous mountain peaks, and it's a popular destination to the overlook point, which is a 1.5 miles (2.4 km) hike from Logan Pass.

Photographers from all over the world are drawn here to its majestic beauty, and to catch a glimpse of the numerous wildlife that live here, including bears, moose and mountain goats.

September 9 - Little Hoot

ELF OWL - (Micrathene whitneyi) is the smallest owl in North America, and the lightest owl in the world. Even with a wingspan of 10.6 inches (27 cm), it's only a mere 5 inches (12.7 cm) in height, & weighs no more than 1.5 ounces (42 g)!

Elf Owls carve out a small hole to build thier nests. They prefer tree tops, or a tall cactus to keep them up away from predators.
